If you’re going on a road trip, drive a lot for work or simply want to build a roadside emergency kit, it’s important to be prepared with the necessary gear to keep yourself safe and self-sufficient. We recommend preparing a tire repair kit and other tools so you can patch, fix and check your tires yourself without having to visit a mechanic or service center. You’ll end up saving a bunch of money especially if you don’t have to replace the whole tire!

Most people forget but it is important to check your tire tread depth every once in a while. These will let you accurately measure your tire tread depth in 1/32 inch increments. Has a color coded tread depth guage to clearly indicate the different tire phases — red range: 0-3/32, yellow range: 3/32, green range: 6-32/32. Nothing fancy but gets the job done and easier to use than an electronic depth guage!
If you’ve lost your tire valve caps just pick up a pack of these. You’ll end up needing some sooner or later. Standard black plastic valve caps to protect your valves from dirt and erosion. Decent quality with a dome shape and should fit any standard valve stem.
If you don’t want want a tire repair kit or already own one, then you might want to consider a standalone portable air compressor to inflate your tires in an emergency.
